ADDS Pharmaceuticals has developed a proprietary nano-technology that can greatly increase the solubility of poorly water soluble compounds. By increasing their solubilitythe compounds are more easily absorbed by the body, thereby leading to higher efficacy.

Three Steps Process
1 - a poorly water soluble compound is dissolved in a proprietary liquid formulation at high concentration. For example, the solubility of CoQ10 in ADDS’s proprietary liquid formulation is over 400,000 times higher than the solubility of CoQ10 in water - 0.4 mcg/mL. (See Fig. 1)

2 - the liquid formulation with high concentration of the active is incorporated into a nano-scaffold made of a nutritional component to prevent the potential recrystallization of the compound during processing and storage.

3 - upon ingestion, the formulation will flow out of the nano-scaffold and will self-emulsify into an oil-in-water emulsion. The compound will be solubilized inside the nano-sized oil droplets. Having the compound dissolved in the droplets leads to a higher solubility in water. For example,using the U.S. Pharmacopeia’s dissolution method verifies that the water solubility of AQUA Q10 is definitely superior to other commercial CoQ10 products. (See Fig. 2)

And once the previously poorly water soluble compound is dissolved in nano droplets in the GI tract, the body can more easily absorb the compound into the blood stream, thereby making ADDS’s AQUA nano technology products more efficacious.
